The International Society of Surgery/Société Internationale de Chirurgie (ISS/SIC), the oldest international society in general surgery of more than 2,000 members from 96 countries and its 6 Integrated Societies (IAES, IATSIC, IASMEN, BSI, ISDS and ASAP), has been organizing its congress, now known as the International Surgical Week (ISW), since 1905.
For the first time in history, the congress in 2021 is to be organized as the Virtual Surgical Week VSW 2021. VSW will deliver the same high-quality scientific program and offer opportunities for networking and professional development. As one of the biggest gatherings for hundreds of surgeons and anesthesiologists from all over the world, this congress provides an outstanding forum to exchange ideas, network with fellow professionals, and learn from world-renowned experts giving tumour board panels, state-of-the-art and introductory lectures.
